This privacy policy explains how Nofrizzi ("we", "us", "our"), an online store based in Auckland, New Zealand, collects, uses, and protects your personal information. We are committed to handling your information in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020. By using nofrizzi.com or purchasing from us, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Information we collect

When you place an order or interact with our store, we may collect: your name, email address, phone number, billing and delivery address; your order details and purchase history; payment information (processed securely by our payment provider — we never see or store your full card details); and any information you provide when contacting us.

We also automatically collect limited technical information when you browse our site, such as your IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you found us. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies, including analytics and advertising tools such as Meta Pixel and Google Analytics.

How we use your information

We use your information to: process and deliver your orders; communicate with you about your order, returns, or enquiries; provide customer support; improve our website, products, and marketing; send you marketing emails if you have opted in (you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email); comply with our legal obligations, including tax and consumer law requirements; and prevent fraud and protect the security of our store.

We only collect personal information that is necessary for these purposes, and we collect it directly from you wherever possible.

Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the store, including: Shopify (our ecommerce platform), payment processors, courier and delivery companies, email and marketing platforms, and advertising and analytics providers. These providers may only use your information to provide services to us.

Some of our service providers store or process information outside New Zealand (for example, in the United States or Canada). Where this happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is protected by safeguards comparable to those under New Zealand privacy law.

We may also disclose information where required or permitted by law, for example to government agencies, or to protect our legal rights.

Cookies and advertising

Our site uses cookies to keep your cart working, remember your preferences, understand how the site is used, and show you relevant ads on platforms such as Facebook and Instagram. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work properly without them. You can also manage ad preferences directly within Meta and Google's own settings.

How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Order and transaction records are kept for at least seven years to meet New Zealand tax and record-keeping requirements. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, including using a secure ecommerce platform, encrypted (HTTPS) connections, and PCI-compliant payment processing. However, no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights

Under the Privacy Act 2020, you have the right to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, and to ask us to correct it if it is wrong. To make a request, email us at hello@nofrizzi.com. We will respond within 20 working days.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information or a privacy request, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz.

Children

Our store is intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Purchases must be made by a person aged 18 or over, or with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date, and applies from the date it is posted.
